Don't see most of those problems...

Of all those problems, the only one I get is that "Form" is not an option in iNotes.

In the Rules view in the Notes client, I can create a rule using "Form" and it shows correctly in the view.
I can also Enable/Disable from that view with no freeze.

I'm currently using Notes 8.5.3 FP1 on 64-bit Windows 7. I never actually touched rules in the 8.5.3 gold client.
Our mail server is Domino 8.5.3 gold.

The fix list database doesn't show any fixes in FP1 relating to rules, as far as I can see.

I suspect updating your mail file to the 8.5.3 template would fix the problem of "Form" appearing as "G" in the view.
Note that, with the standard configuration, the Domino server will refresh the design of all databases on that server overnight if they use templates on that server. This will be a problem for you if the Domino server is 8.5.2 or older, but you want your mail using the 8.5.3 template.
